Orchestra online
Songs, top dramas, shoe sales, car sales, stock trading and pizza ordering have all moved online, so why not live orchestra concerts too. The Detroit Symphony's concert tonight is available for live streaming, free, right here.

Need a snack?
Need an idea for a meat-astic snack? T happened to make this one with friends in the mountains, when we wanted a salty snack that would at least have an attempt at healthiness. It's that old-time favorite, bacon-wrapped asparagus. We did this one with an oven.
Brush some olive oil on the asparagus, cut into bite-size portions, sprinkle on some ground pepper, and wrap a few of the bite-size pieces of asparagus in bacon.
Throw in the oven at 400 degrees or so.
Ba-bam. Yum.

Veronica Mars (the movie!)
We caught a sneak peek of the long-awaited Veronica Mars movie last night, and it has plenty of treats sprinkled throughout for avid fans of the show who were left hanging when the show ended without tying up loose ends after a few seasons. The murder-mystery storyline is compelling enough to keep even Veronica Mars novices entertained enough.
The theater where we watched celebrated the screening by giving away marshmallow cupcakes to one lucky viewer.
We hadn't watched enough episodes of the TV show to get the marshmallow reference. In fact T hadn't seen the show at all. Nevertheless, the movie had some other funny jokes (that we won't spoil here) that poked fun at the movie's wildly successful Kickstarter campaign and star Kristen Bell's real life outside the show. (You'll see.) Fans who have seen every episode giggled with delight as familiar faces popped up on screen at our theater last night. Veronica's trademark snark, the nutty characters of Neptune, Calif., and the dark and light moods of the TV show were all there in the movie.
It'll be interesting to see how many tickets the movie ends up selling.
