Hip hop tackles corporate rock radio

Flobots won 93.3 FM's Hometown for the Holidays!

The top 3 bands in 93.3's contest, whittled down by listeners over the past few weeks, all performed last night at Andrew's on Lincoln. Flobots won a thousand bucks as the best live performance. The Heyday and Roe rounded out the top 3. You'll probably hear much more from all 3 bands though in the future.

On Feb. 16, Flobots bring hip hop to the Gothic in a show with wit-pop trio Hot IQs and folksy, Americana band Paper Bird. $8. ($10 day of)
